DeBofsky Law is proud to announce that its founder, Mark D. DeBofsky, has been appointed as a member of the 2023 Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans, also known as the ERISA Advisory Council. The council provides advice on policies and regulations affecting employee benefit plans governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. Mark DeBofsky, who has more than 40 years of experience practicing employee benefits law, representing workers seeking retirement and other benefits, will represent the General Public.

The ERISA Advisory Council is a 15-member council comprised of members from nine different fields, with three members representing employee organizations, three representing employers, and three representing the general public. The council plays a vital role in advising the Department of Labor on various issues affecting employee benefit plans. Members of the council serve staggered three-year terms.

DeBofsky Law is thrilled to have Mark DeBofsky serve on the council and looks forward to his contributions in shaping the policies and regulations affecting employee benefit plans in the United States.
